Job Title: Group Head – Finance & Admin

Job Purpose:

As an integral member of the company’s leadership team, the GH – Finance & Admin will lead and manage a finance and administrative structure to meet the evolving needs and opportunities of the company. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer. The successful person will be responsible for collaborating with senior management to establish standards and best practices that support the company’s strategic growth plan, as well as managing the overall financial reporting of the company. This includes developing budgets and timely, accurate monthly financial statements, analyzing budget variances and developing recommendations for improvements. S/He will prepare and implement financial strategy, policies, procedures, and financial controls framework in order to ensure the achievement of institution wise financial objectives, controls and financial stability. In addition, s/he will create a positive working environment that facilitates exceptional service delivery, customer relationships and employee engagement. Coordinates  the  Human  Resources  functions  and  oversees  the  primary  day-to-day  responsibility  for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all administrative and operational activities of the company; including coordination of maintenance and repairs with the appropriate vendors as well as the ordering of supplies.

Job responsibilities:

  • Must possess a degree or post graduate qualification in Accounting or Finance. Membership of ICAN is a prerequisite for this position.
  • Must possess a minimum of ten (10) years of cognate work experience in banking or Finance industry inclusive of 3 years in management position in a financial or investment bank.
  • Must have ability to collaborate with other internal business partners to provide comprehensive solutions to customer’s financial needs.
  • Must be able to supervise the accumulation of accurate reporting of financial, performance, and regulatory data and ensure timely delivery.
  • Must support compliance with regulatory guidelines such as Prudential Guidelines, Anti-Money Laundry Act and all relevant CBN circulars.
  • Promotes communication between colleagues for the benefit of information flow and to curb any problems that arise.
  • Must have integrity, honesty and high sense of responsibility.

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Purpose:

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies, advertising, organizing events, product development and coordinating marketing plans and promotional activities to improve market position and achieve financial growth. This position will report to the General Manager (GM).

The successful candidate shall also be responsible for the following:
– Development and implementation of a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with relevant departments to execute.
– Marketing of company financial products and services.
– Analyzing of customers’ credit request for approval.
– Make key contributions to business planning process to achieving desired performance.
– Assisting with the development of methods for the generation of awareness through social media.
– Liability generation and sourcing for demand deposits.
– Preparation and writing call memos and maintaining good relationship with customers.
– Distribution of monthly or quarterly statements to customers/investors.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A first degree (B.Sc/HND) in Marketing/Business Administration or related discipline from a recognize institution.
  • A minimum of 8 – 10 years’ cognate experience in finance/investment environment.
  • Must possess knowledge of competition and market dynamics and business awareness.
  • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Creativity and strong analytical skills are important to this position.

Job Title: Internal Control Officer

Location: Abuja & Lagos

Job Purpose:

This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The desired candidate shall be responsible for
the development and implementation of approved internal control strategies and work programmes in the company. The candidate will ensure internal controls are effectively in place and functional, ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulation.

The successful candidate shall also be responsible for the following:
– Ensure that the approved operating policy guidelines, procedure and performance standard addresses
the company’s operational needs.
– Must monitor the effectiveness of established Business control policies, processes and procedures.
– Communicate identified weaknesses in control to management and Board.
– Develop workable solutions to mitigate such identified weakness

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Must possess a first degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting or any related discipline. ACA will be added advantage.
  • Must possess minimum five (5) years post NYSC working experience in a financial institution.
  • Must possess a broad knowledge of accounting software packages.
  • Must possess a good knowledge of business drivers and risk control associated with financial institutions.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.

Job Title: Company Secretary/Head, Legal Unit

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will be responsible for providing company secretarial services to support the smooth running of the company, working with the relevant regulatory authorities, and ensuring the best practice delivery of corporate governance and company secretarial principles. The successful candidate shall be responsible for managing and advising on all legal issues and take charge of all legal matters.

In addition, s/he must possess the following:
– Must be well grounded in Commercial/Property Law, especially in drafting & reviewing of legal documents.
– Interpretation of revised financial and investment policies on contracts and agreements.
– Must have enough experience to design appropriate risks mitigating and litigation strategies across the enterprise operations.
– Arranging Board/general meetings and preparing minutes thereof.
– Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environment and taking appropriate actions
– Advise management on legal matters of interest.
– Interpret and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance by the company.
– Manage security of vital financial/legal documents e.g. contract agreements and property.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Must possess a first degree in Law (LLB) and must be called to the Nigerian Bar (BL)
  • A minimum of 5 – 6 years cognate experience as a Company Secretary or in a Legal department of a structured financial institution.
  • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills.
